City web portal relaunches
The permitting and licensing portal, access.okc.gov, was relaunched this afternoon after an unauthorized image was placed on the website. All affected services, which include permitting, licensing and the Action Center’s external reporting tools, have been restored.

City web portal defaced, staff working to relaunch
The City’s Information Technology Department became aware of the image shortly after it was posted and took the site offline to investigate. There is currently no evidence data was accessed or compromised. We are working to relaunch affected services, which include permitting, licensing, and the Act

Canine flu confirmed at Animal Shelter
Lab results confirm canine influenza (flu) is the cause of the respiratory infection that forced the closure of the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter on June 3. It’s the same infection that shut the Shelter down from March 29 – May 15.

Oklahoma City Council adopts 2024 budget
The Oklahoma City Council on Tuesday adopted the City Manager’s 2024 budget. The operating budget, which pays for the City’s day-to-day operations, is budgeted at $904.3 million. The 2024 budget includes funding for 5,108 full-time positions, which is an increase of 119 positions (2.4%) from FY 23.

Mayor David Holt elected 2025-2026 president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors
Today at the Annual Meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors in Columbus, the membership elected Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt to serve as the 2025-2026 President of the organization. In the near term, Mayor Holt assumes office immediately as the organization’s Second Vice President.

Animal Shelter closes after another respiratory outbreak
The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter closed to the public this afternoon for the second time this year to keep an upper respiratory infection from spreading through the Shelter and to other dogs in the metro.

Results of annual count of OKC’s homeless population released

Residents have through June 4 to weigh in on OKC’s proposed 2024 budget
People can visit okc.gov/budget to review a copy of the proposed budget book and use the online form to submit comments by June 4. People can also text comments to (405) 252-1053 or email them to budgetcomments@okc.gov.
