Rules & Regulations

For the health, safety, and protection of all visitors, we ask that you follow the following rules and regulations when visiting an Oklahoma City pool or family aquatic center. 

  1. Swimming is prohibited without a lifeguard on duty
  2. Patrons must comply with instructions from lifeguards and aquatics staff regarding rules, conduct, or safety including clearing the pool as deemed necessary. 
  3. All incidents must be reported to lifeguard or OKC Parks staff person on duty immediately.
  4. Patrons must shower prior to entering the pool with soap and warm water. Excessive lotions and/or oils are prohibited.
  5. Youth 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water and on the pool deck. 
  6. Youth ages 11-12 must be accompanied by an adult on the pool deck, the adult should be observant of the youth but is not required to be in the water.
  7. Youth ages 13 and older may swim unaccompanied by an adult however contact information for a guardian is required for entry into any Aquatic facility for persons under the age of 18. 
  8. Children 2 years old and under or those patrons wearing diapers must wear a swim diaper. Diapers not marked for swimming are prohibited in the pool.
  9. No smoking, tobacco, or vaping products.
  10. Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited. 
  11. Running and rough play are prohibited.
  12. Behavior, language, and clothing deemed to be offensive or profane are prohibited.
  13. Floats, toys, or other personal items are allowed at the discretion of Lifeguard(s). 
  14. Children requiring a flotation device must be accompanied in the pool within arm’s reach of an adult or guardian (age 18+). Device must be properly fitting U.S. Coast Guard approved. 
  15. Appropriate swimwear required.
  16. Bathing load limits are posted on site at all facilities

Notice: Weapons Prohibited at OKC Parks Aquatic Facilities

For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited within the premises of OKC Parks Aquatic Facilities. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Firearms (including concealed or open carry)
  • Knives (other than small utility or folding knives)
  • Explosives or fireworks
  • Any item intended or used as a weapon

Our goal is to maintain a safe and family-friendly environment for all patrons. Any individual found carrying a weapon will be asked to leave immediately and may be subject to further action.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep this facility a secure and welcoming space for everyone. 

Public Health Notice: Keeping Safe for Everyone

For the health and well-being of all visitors, we kindly ask that everyone follow these important guidelines while enjoying OKC Parks Aquatic Facilities:

  • Do not enter the pool if you are feeling unwell, experiencing diarrhea, or have had symptoms of illness in the past 48 hours.
  • Avoid swallowing pool water to reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses.
  • Practice good hygiene by washing your hands after using the restroom and before eating.
  • If you have skin lesions, sores, inflamed eyes, mouth or nose, are wearing a bandage, or have symptoms of a communicable disease, you will be asked to leave and return at a later date or time.

By following these simple steps, we can all help ensure a safe, healthy, and enjoyable swimming experience for everyone.

Lost or Stolen Articles

The Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. 

Inclimate Weather

In the event of a weather or other emergency, please follow the instructions given by pool staff and lifeguards. Rain checks may be issued to patrons for prolonged facility closures.

What to Wear

Oklahoma City pools and family aquatic centers are family-friendly facilities. We ask that all guests be respectful toward others and not wear clothing that displays images or words that promote violence, sex, drugs, or hatred toward groups or individuals. 

Prohibited Clothing

  • Denim
  • Clothing deemed to be offensive or profane 
  • Cutoff shorts must be hemmed.

Recommendations

  • Board shorts and swim trunks.
  • Aqua shirts or water shirts.
  • Standard bikinis, bathing suits
  • Swim Diapers
  • Modesty Swimwear
