OKC Animal Welfare is waiving all adoption fees in celebration of “Hounds for the Holidays.”

The event begins at noon today, Dec. 16, and ends at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at OKC Animal Welfare, 2811 SE 29th St. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. daily.

Animal Welfare is currently at 152% capacity for dogs and has 134 dogs available for adoption. The shelter also has 10 adoptable cats.

“Our shelter desperately needs the community’s help,” said Animal Welfare Superintendent Jon Gary. “Make this holiday season special for a shelter pet by adopting. With the waived dog adoption fees, this is a great time to bring a loving canine home.”

All adoptable pets at Animal Welfare are up to date on vaccinations, treated for worms, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
