On March 3, 2020, Oklahoma City voters said no to a permanent 1/8-cent sales tax for parks in an initiative petition election. It was proposed by a resident's initiative petition. For details on that process, see our FAQs.
There was only one item on the City ballot. Voters chose yes or no on the proposed sales tax. The Oklahoma presidential primary election and other issues the same day were on separate ballots.

Oklahoma City voters registered at their current address by the Feb. 7, 2020, deadline were eligible to vote in the election. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the election was Feb. 26, 2020. Early voting for the election was Feb. 27-29, 2020. Regular voting was March 3.
