For each visitor to our site, our web server automatically recognizes information regarding the domain, but not e-mail addresses.

The data we collect from IP addresses gives us information about the entire okc.gov audience, which we use to improve the okc.gov service. We also collect information on which pages users access or visit. We don't track which pages any single user looks at, but we do know how many visitors each page receives.

The information we collect is used for internal review and is then discarded, used to improve the content of our Web site, but not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

With respect to cookies: "cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. okc.gov uses cookies, but gathers no personal information from them. If you supply us with your postal address on-line you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address. Your address will not be shared with any commercial data-gathering firms.

Visitors who supply us with their telephone numbers online will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding requests the visitor has placed online.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated purposes not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will use only the data collected from the time of the policy change forward for these new purposes.

Okc.gov uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure, and to disclose such information only to third party service providers we believe to be responsible and only for purposes necessary to provide and maintain the website or to comply with applicable law. However, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third party service providers which receive the information. okc.gov also links to a select number of other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy policies or how they treat information about their users.
