Civic Center Music Hall makes changes to box office hours, ticket availability

Post Date:02/20/2015

Patrons who purchase tickets in person at Oklahoma City’s Civic Center Music Hall will notice some changes beginning March 2. The 75-year-old facility is changing its box office hours and opening up ticket purchasing options during show runs in order to better serve its customer base.

The new box office hours will be Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. instead of Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The box office will also extend its hours during events, staying open through intermission.

During shows, patrons will be able to purchase tickets for any event on sale. The past policy only enabled ticket purchases for the show that was currently playing in the venue, which forced them to wait or buy online at another time.

“We’re always considering ways to improve service to our patrons,” said Civic Center manager Jim Brown. “This opens up new avenues for patrons wanting to purchase their tickets after work or during show times.”

In 2014, the Civic Center welcomed more than 300,000 patrons to 130 productions.

Tickets to any Civic Center Music Hall show can be purchased online at www.okcciviccenter.com, by phone at 405-297-2264 or in person at the facility box office at 201 North Walker Ave. Tickets can be purchased during the stated box office hours, and beginning two hours prior to any show time.
