Public invited to weigh in on how OKC should grow during planokc workshops

Post Date:02/27/2014

Residents are encouraged to share their opinion about how Oklahoma City should grow at one of seven workshops being held throughout Oklahoma City in March.

About 600,000 people live in Oklahoma City today, and the population is projected to grow to approximately 900,000 over the next 40 years. Workshop attendees can view examples and scenarios of how Oklahoma City could accommodate an additional 300,000 people and 170,000 jobs, and share their opinion about how the city should grow.

Feedback from workshops will be used with studies, surveys and other public input to create the land use plan that will guide future growth and development in Oklahoma City.
