Flag raising marks site of MAPS 4 multipurpose stadium in downtown OKC
Today, area leaders commemorated the location of the future MAPS 4 multipurpose stadium with a flag raising event. In the days and months ahead, the flagpole will carry various emblems, starting with rotating “OKC for Soccer” and “OKC es Fútbol” flags, until the stadium is completed in spring 2027.

City leaders make progress on MAPS 4 sidewalks
Construction on the first two phases of MAPS 4 sidewalks is underway citywide, continuing the momentum toward making Oklahoma City more walkable and safer for pedestrians. Over the next year, the MAPS 4 penny will be used to build more than 35 sidewalks, with more planned through 2031.

Today City Council adopted a master plan for the MAPS 4 Neighborhood and Community Parks project. MAPS 4 includes $70.3 million to improve 105 neighborhood and community parks across Oklahoma City.

Crews complete first MAPS 4 bus stop improvements in northeast Oklahoma City
The first MAPS 4 bus stop improvements are complete and open for service in northeast Oklahoma City. Phase 1 of the project includes $4.3 million to improve 140 bus stops across the city that were deemed the highest priority based on daily ridership.

City Council approves land donation agreement for MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium
Today Oklahoma City Council approved a real estate donation agreement with Echo to donate nine acres of land, located in the vicinity of South Shields Boulevard and SE 3rd Street, identified as the site for the MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium.

City Council approves final plans for new MAPS 4 animal shelter
Oklahoma City Council approved final plans today for a new, modern animal shelter as part of MAPS 4. The new 69,602-square-foot facility will replace OKC Animal Welfare’s current facility, offering enhanced services for animals and residents while significantly expanding capacity.

ODOT awards City of OKC nearly $2 million in TAP grants for Safe Routes to Schools
The City of Oklahoma was recently awarded nearly $2 million in Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grants from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), to fund pedestrian improvements near five elementary schools.

City Council selects YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City to operate MAPS 4 Senior Wellness Center
The Oklahoma City Council voted this week to select the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City as the operating partner for the MAPS 4 senior health and wellness center project. The project includes $16.7 million for a fifth senior wellness center and $15 million for operations, maintenance and scholarships.

Officials broke ground today on the MAPS 4 Diversion Hub, a 35,575-square-foot building that will allow the organization to provide comprehensive support services to even more people and families impacted by the criminal legal system.

Oklahoma City Council approved final plans today for the first phase of neighborhood connectivity improvements in the Innovation District as part of MAPS 4. This project, located in Northeast OKC, will enhance bicycle and pedestrian safety in the Innovation District and the surrounding area.

Oklahoma City Council approved final plans today for the first phase of MAPS 4 Bike Lanes as part of the $22 million dedicated to bike facility improvements across Oklahoma City. Bike lane locations were selected based on the bikewalkokc plan, which identifies priorities and key connections.
