OKC Parks offers water fun this summer

Oklahoma City’s two family aquatic centers and 16 spraygrounds will officially open for the summer Saturday, May 24.

OKC Parks operates two family aquatic centers:

  • Earlywine Family Aquatic Center, 3101 SW 119th St. Earlywine features towering slides, a beach-like pool entry and a variety of water toys.
  • Will Rogers Family Aquatic Center, 3201 N. Grand Blvd. Will Rogers includes a diving well, two large slides and party pavilion.

Here are the key things people need to know when visiting the aquatic centers:

  • Hours: The aquatic centers are open Tuesdays through Sundays from May 24 through Aug. 3. Hours are 1 to 6 p.m. The aquatic centers are closed on Mondays, including holidays. The centers will have a back-to-school schedule of 1 to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday, Aug. 9, through Sunday, Aug. 31.
  • Admission: Admission at each venue is $6 for adults, $5 for children age 3-17, $5 for seniors age 55 and older, $4 for non-swimmers, and free for age 2 and younger. Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Season Passes: Season passes are also available for $150 for a family of four, with additional members $35 each. Individual passes are $45. All passes are valid for both aquatic centers and can be purchased at the centers or okc.gov/aquatics.
  • Concessions: Concession stands sell drinks and food with prices ranging from $1 to $5.
  • Cashless Payments: Beginning this summer, both OKC Parks aquatic centers will be cashless. People can use credit or debit cards. Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted.

Community pool opens June 10
OKC Parks also operates one community pool. Northeast Community Pool, 1226 NE 33rd St., will be open June 10 through Aug. 3. Hours are from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Admission is $2 per day or $15 for the season for adults age 18 and older. Children age 17 and younger are admitted free.

Spraygrounds open May 24
Spraygrounds are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Saturday, May 24, through Sunday, Sept. 28. OKC Parks operates 16 spraygrounds, which are free to use:

  • Douglass Park: 901 N. Frederick Douglass Ave.
  • EB Jeffrey Park: 4432 NW 16th St.
  • Harvest Hills Park: 8235 NW 104th St.
  • Macklanburg Park: 11700 N. Stratford Dr.
  • McCracken Park: 425 SE 64th St.
  • McKinley Park: 1300 N. McKinley Ave.
  • Melrose Park: 7800 Melrose Ln.
  • Memorial Park: 3600 N. Classen Blvd.
  • Minnis Lakeview Park: 12518 NE 36th St.
  • North Highland Park: 301 NW 81st St.
  • Reed Park: 1217 N. May Ave.
  • Schilling Park: 537 SE 25th St. 
  • Sellers Park: SW 82nd Street and Villa Avenue.
  • Taylor Park: 1113 SW 70th St.
  • Wiley Post Park: 2021 S. Robinson Ave.
  • Youngs Park: SW 44th Street and Youngs Avenue.
