Next MAPS 3 Trails project named Will Rogers Trail (formerly I-44 West Trail)

The Council voted Tuesday to choose Will Rogers Trail as the name for the next MAPS 3 Trails project. The trail, which has previously been referred to as the I-44 West Trail, traverses northwest OKC along the Interstate 44 corridor and will connect the Lake Hefner Trails with the Oklahoma River Trails. The Will Rogers Trail is under design and is scheduled for completion next year. The first MAPS 3 Trail to be completed, the West River Trail, opened last year.
