Development Services budget reflects improved permit revenue

Better efficiency and coordination contributed in a significant rise in revenue from building permits for the Development Services Department. Building permit revenue rose by more than $1 million to $5.7 million in the last fiscal year, Development Services Director Bob Tener said. Among the Department's goals for fiscal year 2016 are continued improvement in the Animal Shelter's live release rate, which rose 10 percent to 69 percent in the last fiscal year.
